My mother grew up in Kewaunee. The church is a handsome piece of architecture that is part of so many people’s heritage. Our family and so many other families have so many memories tied to this church... It is an important part of our heritage and should not be removed.

Here I am, age 92. I was confirmed here. I particularly cherish the stained glass, "In remembrance of ..." I was very young when the Catholic Church was torn down and it really bothered me that I had never been inside. This jewel must not be destroyed! My grandfather, Ferdinand Duescher, was among those who built the church in Ellisville and very fortunately it is not endangered. Robert Leyse

Save the historic buildings! If you get rid of all the old buildings, you have NO HISTORIC buildings! If he is not using it for public purpose.... let it be. There are private homes that people live in that NEED fixing so if you don’t enforce those people to fix there private property don’t force this guy to fix HIS private property... only except should be for public use that the building is be used for but it doesn’t appear that way.

Save this beautiful church with a rich history. The old school sat for decades with no raze order—why the sudden urgency on the city’s behalf?

Save the disappearing architectural icons of Kewaunee. Remember the proud metropolis it was.

Good lord, I will come down there and fix the roof myself if I have to. What a beautiful landmark. This must be saved at all costs!!

It would be a horrible injustice to demolish such a beautiful piece of history. This building has so much potential in bringing in tourism dollars to Kewaunee.

It would be the height of stupidity/ignorance to destroy this historic church which is part of the character and charm of the City of Kewaunee.

It was one of the first buildings that I noticed when I first moved here. History shouldn't be torn down.

The stained glass windows alone are worth saving in place.
