You silly people want to ban 1080, when it is the most help to the suvival of kea. Without 1080 pest control, kea in 2015 had 98% of their eggs and chicks destroyed by introduced predators. In areas that had 1080 drops, 50% of kea eggs and chicks survived to fledge and leave the nest. This is why we now have lots of young kea in Kahurangi, Arthurs Pass, South Westland etc.

Please DOC, see sense and stop 1080 drops immediately, The word about this scandal is spreading worldwide and will not just harm all the fauna that are unlucky enough to eat a pellet or drink from a contaminated water source.
