As an employee of the hotel, I find this negligence embarassing.

It seems that some type of non-profit organization could be formed to oversee the restoration and maintenance of this historic site with Omni leading the way. How about it, Brett? Everyone would win.

I lived in Bath County for two years and the pools were one of my favorite things in the County. To me, it is disgusting they would even think of closing such a piece of history for a few dollars.

This is a gem and needs to be preserved. I have been going there for years. It is a historical landmark and people from all over have been coming here.

Hope Omni will hear us. I have bathed in the Pools for over 50 years and miss them terribly, like 100s of others.

This would be a shame if these historic bath houses were destroyed. Why is it that all over Europe they preserve structures that are filled with history, and educates all that visit. These historical bathhouses should be left for future generations to visit. I would bet that if they are torn down, a builder will come along and purchase the property to build something commercial! We must save the Jefferson Pools!

Yes, please! Or Omni could deed it over to a private conservation org, who could lease back rights to the pools for the hotel’s use for XX number of years. Omni kicks in some $$ and private citizens could make up the difference to get repairs made. A little creative partnership goes a long way, Omni.

It would be a sad day if the Jefferson Pools disappear.

I was courted by a singing W and L student while sitting in the gazebo at the baths. He is now my husband of 56 years. I have painted and photographed the buildings many times. It is unbelievable to me that the owner of these historic treasures would not do everything possible to preserve them.

Have friends that live in Hot Springs. I can’t use these now when I visit because I don’t NEED to stay at the “Omni” .
