We come to Bath county 2-3 times a year and stay in both hotels.

We visited earlier this year and were dismayed to find them closed. It seemed like all the little guys (small businesses) had to just wait for the Omni to decide how to handle it. I imagine there may be some local discussion on whether to restore historically or as modern structures, but call it a day and make one modern and one historical. Those are precious springs and the people should have access to them. We were shocked we couldn’t access the omni’s without being an overnight guest there so we settled for their sauna. Not the same and completely unaffordable to most.

As a Virginian who has visited this area many times, I believe the Jefferson Baths is an important and unique historical attraction that deserves immediate attention to assure it's survival and restoration.

We cannot lose these historic and useful pools. They are not only healthy but they add a valuable attraction for visitors to the area. I visit them when I am in the area as do others I know. Please restore them!

If The Omni Corporation is in ownership of the pools, then it is there responsiblity to maintain it. Being such a huge historical place, in my opinion it would be criminal if they let them fall to ruin!

Really unbelievable that this brilliant facility has been allowed to deteriorate so badly.

Apparently we have lost sight of all that is good in this state, because all of our most precious and cherished resources are constantly at risk. Do not destroy one of our most precious points of history for thoughtless development. Even when we own the land, we do not. We are mere stewards of the land, and should protect it accordingly.

It is sad everytime I come back home, and see the pools in an increasingly distressed state.

I can not beleive that I need to sign this petition. The Jefferson Pools should be made a Virginia State Park or Historic Landmark protected from corporate exploition.
Save these baths!!!!
