Save IB for Frank! He's a real man, Because he can grow a mustache! I also wanna be able to work at the ice skating rink, and my friend be like, "I have this acid, but I can't do it," and me be like, "Well, i'll do it." Then by the time i'll get on my banana board, i'll be tripping balls pretty hard, man! Then, i wanna hop on my bench grinder and have a piece of metal fly up and hit me in the eye, then call you and have you drive me to the hospital. I also wanna so,"Dude! you just ran over a small bus!" Rod out, ULTIMATE PUNCH!!!

The IB program is a great program which pushes students (who would otherwise be bored and breezing through even AP courses) to their fill potential. This opportunity should not be take from them merely because budget cuts are deemed necessary.

Shame on anyone who feels the compelling need to cut the IB program in the SMSD school district. This is what makes our schools district stand out above the rest and why so many parents want their kids to attend schools in this district. Don't mess with something that is not broken!

The IB program is the best-rounded program at the moment. It provides the students with an idea of what college is really like. It gives you the opportunity to analyze the information for yourself instead of just learning facts like other programs...

IB is a very important college preparedness program that benefits students, universities, and the workforce globally. Please do not cut IB because of a lack of money. While the need for budget cuts has been recognized, IB should not be considered for such cuts.

IB is a large part of our lives, and the reason I live here and go to SMNW. Education should not be having budget cuts- that is the worst decision for the future of this nation, as is deciding to cut the IB program, which trains young minds across nations to become the best and brightest of civilization to aid the progress and building of society. I could not function in an AP or Honors or regular class- they simply don't function on an IB level. Here we discuss and grow as people, looking at political issues and expanding our mind. AP shoves way too much information into an inefficient teaching method that stressed the students out and doesn't allow them to connect or enjoy learning, and regular classes and honors classes function at too low of an intellectual level. IB is the best solution to challenge students in a way they enjoy that prepares them for college and sends them on their way for success in the real world. IB embeds a passion for education into us students and gives us the space to think critically about academics, and many kids in IB grow up to become brilliant minds and efficient, outstanding members of society with high-up jobs. By cutting funds to education, by cutting IB, the politicians are merely decreasing the possibility for economic success that these students bring (which is ironic since apparently the economy is the issue here). Education becomes money and power in the hands of society. IB is my life- many students, like me, are very upset at the idea of the program being removed, many to the point of being moved to tears. If anything, IB should grow, expand and flourish to the entire district and beyond. It's a rare opportunity for an experience unlike any other a child could obtain- regular and honors classes are too simple, and AP classes shove too much information into kids with the purpose of "memorizing" the information rather than understanding, thinking critically, being prepared for the "real world." IB changed us as people and ca

This is a travesty to education. We spend $20 million on unnecessary laptops, but cannot afford to keep the program that has made us one of the top districts in Kansas? This is ridiculous and I demand an answer.

My granddaughter has benefitted greatly from this program and we were expecting that our other grandchildren would be fortunate enough to benefit as well. This is a program in which students horizons are expanded and they are engaged significantly in the world around them. Why would we want to eliminate such an experience or opportunity for learning???

I am a long time resident of Johnson County and feel strongly that the IB program should continue. I see first hand the benefits of hard work to prepare for extraordinary classes. Our grand daughter has learned so much and is better prepared for college next year. Don't eliminate the program!

Qualified students should not be deprived of the opportunity to learn through IB program. In depth discussions with our grand daughter showed us her increasing grasp of many subjects. Because of this program she has received excellent preparation for college!

I am a senior who is involved in both the AP and IB programs, and I wouldn't be nearly as prepared for college as I am now, without the IB program. It allows students to learn at not only a higher level, but also dive deeper into subjects and questions so we can fully understand the work as a whole. AP classes have a similar amount of content, but they are structured in such a small time frame, that I don't learn as much, due to timing, as I do in IB. Cutting the IB program would lead to a dramatic decrease in students that the district would deem "College Ready", test scores, and overall intelligence of the student body.
