US history is brief, with just a little over 100 years of western culture in LA. If we don't preserve the buildings that carved our history, we will loose an important piece of our material culture. Plus, the buildings are simply just so beautiful! We really need to preserve what we have.

As manager of a photo project documenting historic landmarks, I have come to appreciate, more and more, the importance of protecting and preserving these buildings that serve as physical reminders of our history, culture and society.

It's the Hollywood Reporter Building. How can there even be a question of not preserving this piece of Hollywood history? It is our duty to save these irreplaceable Art Deco buildings from the wrecking ball. Old Hollywood glamour still has magnetic appeal to tourist$. I urge you to preserve this building .
Thank you!

How can this even be a question? I thought this building had already been Saved??? When will the destruction of the original Hollywood stop? We need to preserve the few Hollywood Gems we have left. How can developers not recognize the benefits from examples of the restored architecture already completed? The Palladium, El Capitan, Egyptian, Chinese Theatre. They are magnificent and a huge hit. There is only ONE Hollywood in the entire world. Preserve it.

Art Deco lovers in Canada recognize the importance of Los Angeles and Historic Hollywood for their role in popularizing Deco around the world. I urge you to ensure that this landmark building is adaptively re-used, and not lost to insensitive redevelopment.

Please preserve this historical landmark - it’s reuse will bring revenue to LA and great history to the world. It is our responsibility and privilege to do so. The art history of America matters and deserves PRESERVATION. Thank you!

I grew up in Hollywood and would pass by this building on my walk to school. I always thought it was so classy --even at 7 years old. Yes it was safe to walk to school in those days.
