VT Hokie class of '83. Whose lame brain idea was this? This tradition started while I was at Tech and my whole family looks forward to it. Was rehearsing for Sunday. Does anyone one there understand tradition? What next? No Enter Sandman?

I am the grandson of Bob "Boomer" Ayersman. Virginia Tech Basketball player and hall of fame inductee. The hokie police is a tradition that not only I but my grandfather before me admired about the hokie games... it's a tradition to us fans much like th stone in the tunnel is a tradition to all players...

This is yet another example of how out of touch the athletic department has become. LET'S GO HOKIES has been part of the game day experience for years. The HOKIE POKIE has been a mainstay for decades. Why mess with tradition that is anticipated by adults and children alike. Keep alienating the fan base and continue to watch them enjoy the experience from home, or worse, pull for other teams in the ACC.

Keep the Hokie Pokey! Traditions are Tough to come by. Thisbtradition is something that engages the whole family at a game. Everyone can do it which makes it fun and entertaining. I am not sure marketing should worry about the third quarter.

Please keep the Hokie pokie during 3rd qtr during football games. It is a nice way to join the band and stretch.

Keep the Hokey Pokey! When performed in the spirit of sportsmanship, inviting the band members from the opposing team to take part goes a long way to show the Hokie Respect that is reinforced at the beginning of each and every game.

I have put 2 kids through VT and gone to games for almost 40 years... we want to keep our traditions!!
