The Hokie Pokie doesn't make us look any less tough. Our players work hard on the field to accomplish that. In the past we've gotten other bands to help us play the Hokie Pokie. If that's not good sportsmanship I don't know what is.

I am an '85 graduate and masters graduate in '96. The Hokey Pokey is one of the best traditions in college football. Stop trying to be a pro sports team and continue to support and celebrate what makes us "Hokies"!

It's a way to unite our stadium no matter the score. We invite the other team's band to join this tradition and it is a great way to show Hokie respect and Pride. It been here for years and it should continue to be.

Besides winning, this is one of my favorite VT game day traditions. Of all the things to take away...and replace with something we already do. It's interactive, it doesn't require a screen, it's fun. I also think you could rework the Hokie Pokie to incorporate honoring dignitaries if that's the main goal.
