Come ON! No Hokie Pokie? I think we could stand to keep it a *little* light hearted in our stadium. If things get tough we'll #startjumping.

Really? Remove the Hokie Pokie? Halftime maybe? Or, just before the guest of honor and the let's go chant.

Really? You'd think the football players would bring enough "toughness" to the game. Getting rid of the hokie pokie will just end up pissing off the alumni you count on to pay good money to watch the games. Maybe the marketing department and the finance department need to have a chat...

Are you kidding me? I was a Marching Virginian who danced the Hokie Pokie on the field. Keep the tradition.

Why would you want to do away with this? It is so much fun and so uniquely Virginia Tech. Please don't!

This is a great and unique tradition. The lets go chant and cannon fire could easily be combined with the excusing tradition of the hokie pokie

I was an MV for 4 years and have been back nearly every year since. The Hokie Pokey cannot go. It's part of what makes Tech what it is.

The Hokie Pokie is one of the many traditions at Tech that made my daughter want to become a Marching Virginian. She learned how to play the tuba in her senior year of high school in the hopes to play the Hokie Pokie with the sousaphones.
