NO to cutting the Hokie Pokie!! It needs to stay. We have been season ticket holders for 15 years and Curt is Professor Emeritus. This tradition is important to us.

I can't help but mourn the loss of a tradition that unified the Marching Virginians, the Highty Tighties, and the opposing team's band through their sousaphones. To me, that was always a beautiful and important moment, no matter how ridiculous it may seem. The Hokie Pokie had been a time-honored tradition that welcomes every fan even on their first game when they may know nothing else.

VT 2002 and spent 11 years as staff. Hokie Pokey is a great tradition that never impacted the outcome of a game. Do you think Take Me Out To The Ball Game won or lost the Yanks or Reds or Cards or Cubs a World Series. Get a grip VT Athletics.

This is a very unique tradition - keep it! Really, this is one of the healthy things in college sports. Why eliminate? (1972 graduate)
