Why would a cherished tradition of playing the Hokie Pokie during 3rd quarter be eliminated? That doesn't enhance anything. Keep playing the Hokie Pokie during 3rd quarter, not during half time.

We need to expand on our traditions, not eliminate. Compare us to the schools in the SEC...they have many more chants, songs and traditions. We need to add, not subtract.

While I realize bucking seemingly antiquated traditions is all the rage these days, there are some traditions that should be considered sacred. The Hokie Pokie is one of those sacred traditions. Where else is it even remotely appropriate? The answer is: no where, EXCEPT Virginia Tech. Embrace this tradition; it is part of who we are, and WE ARE VIRGINIA TECH!
