It's amazing how our commissioners want to tear all the historic buildings down. Maybe we need to replace them. Save this building. There is history here.

This building is too special to tear down. It would make a great museum and it should be discussed if it can be moved before it is just torn down.

This is a gross disservice to the people of Steuben County to destroy a piece of community history without exploring other options and seeking public input. Perhaps there can be found funds to relocate this historical treasure to a more asteemed and useful location on the property. Promotion not demolition should be the goal of those in charge.

I participated in 4H my whole childhood. We viewed our projects and displayed our success in that hall. My troop proudly served the Lions club dinners in the basement of that hall. I have passed down the summer traditions of supporting the community 4H groups at fair. Please consider renovated it preserving, please. Thank you

This is an important piece of Steuben County. Ed Ralston can tell quite a bit of the history. I've had 4-h kids here for 21 yrs, served many a hog roast in the basement. Please secure the foundation and preserve this building. Sheryl

This has been the most amazing building ever. I have been a member of the Steuben co 4-H for over 10 years. My 10 years ended in 2015 but there has been so many memories of receiving so many awards and so many fun times. That building is full of so many memories and it would be devestating to destroy it

As a 10-year 4-H member of Steuben County, I have innumerable memories associated with this building. I graduated before the new Event Center was constructed and remember using this building outside of the fair week to host Mini 4-H Camp, etc. I was looking forward to taking engagement and wedding photos in/around the old Exhibit Hall before I heard it was going to be torn down. While the basement/foundation may not be salvageable, I feel the upstairs is gorgeous and definitely worth saving and relocating.

Several of my family's reunions were held here in the past. Very neat wooden floor and gathering place on main level. It does have some issues with the basement and aesthetics on the outside, but there's no reason it can't be salvaged and repurposed. Don't get rid of the old just because of the new. We scrap too much!

The historic Exhibit Hall should be saved! In the U.S.. a relatively new country, there are not lots of old historic buildings. The history should be preserved for our posterity. The historic Exhibit Hall is an important building for thousands of 4-H members and their family. What right has the county to destroy these people's memories?
