The reason I come to Door County is to be able to climb these structures and get the views they afford. Please repair and restore as they are a tourism asset!

My family’s home is across from the tower on Sawyer Harbor. We have enjoyed the tower with family, friends, and many visitors. It’s beautiful construction has been a landmark and asset to the Door County community for decades. It continues to be a wonderful destination for visitors to see beautiful views of what makes Door County so special! Future generations deserve to see this iconic tower.

This tower needs to be saved. The process of unraveling history needs to be stopped and the history of places is interwoven with these sites and the complete historic story. Questions also become visible with the structures we have and when the story is incorrect they lend evidence that cannot be found anywhere else.
