Loved the place. Community? Sanctuary do not know the meaning of the word. They know the meaning of 'money' alright though.

The Highfield needs to be saved from being turned into more housing. With such a prominent location within Blacon it should be turned into something for the community.

It would be nice to re-open as a family pub, like the wheatsheaf or hungry horse,

Would be nice to turn the Highfield into a hungry horse or a pub dinner of some sort something that would be good for the community of blacon

For such a large estate we have 1 puplic house left !!! Such a shame to see the hife gone been a great social area for many of the residents of blacon and surrounding areas .

At this rate of buikding homes for over 55's before too long the whole of Blacon will be an over 55 estate . Enough is enough, first Highfield school lost half their building and valuable green field promoting a fit healthy lifestyle in the young. Then we lose half the parade, and local community buildings and health centre all to over 55 properties. Enough is enough.
