help save the highfield pub from being turned in to more house. blacon needs to stand together and stop sanctuary housing from destroying this local landmark. they should invest in the community and open the pub as a local meeting and social place and at the same time clear up the the green at the side and make use of it as a beer garden its secure with the wall around it and children could be allowed to use the facility as well

The Highfield has been part of my life for as long as I can remember and seeing the boarded windows hurts every single time I walk past. I have been talking to neighbors who feel exactly the same way about losing our only real social hub. We are gathering momentum and I will keep pushing until Sanctuary Housing realizes this space belongs to us.

Seeing this kind of energy for the Highfield shows just how much this place means to everyone who grew up around here. My heart is full knowing so many of you want to protect the memories we made at that pub.

At this rate of buikding homes for over 55's before too long the whole of Blacon will be an over 55 estate . Enough is enough, first Highfield school lost half their building and valuable green field promoting a fit healthy lifestyle in the young. Then we lose half the parade, and local community buildings and health centre all to over 55 properties. Enough is enough.

to allow this development to go ahead would be a gross misconduct by Chester planning. At present there is only one public house operating within Blacon meaning that the services which are open to its residents are becoming more and more limited. it also means that effectively a monopoly has been created.

This is apart of blacon history, also sanctuary needs to start thinking more about the community and less about there pockets !!

Loved the place. Community? Sanctuary do not know the meaning of the word. They know the meaning of 'money' alright though.
