Henny Jurriëns Studio plays an important role in the life of many dancers in Amsterdam as well as in the Netherlands and beyond. Over the last twenty-five years thousands of dancers, teachers, musicians, choreographers and others have contributed to its vitality and benefited from its openness and creative environment. The Henny Jurriëns Studio needs Amsterdam, and Amsterdam needs the Henny Jurriëns to continue being an exciting dance capital.

High quality dance performance in the Netherlands is already under huge pressure. If HJS would disappear the Netherlands would lose the only facility for daily professional level dance training at an affordable price, further reducing the quality of the Dutch dance field.
