The closure is so shortsighted in the year when the city is expecting to attract visitors. Man up and reconsider!

How can we hold our heads up as the City of Culture 2017, when we plan to make a museum virtually inaccessible.

Who in their right mind would even contemplate closing our museums down when we are getting ready to become the 'City of Culture' 2017. It makes no sense at all except to those who are proposing to carry out this act of 'Civic Vandalism'.

Culture in Hull should be encouraged, not diminished!

Ths is our heritage we are talking about here not some tu'pence ha'penny establishement, this will not be advertised as a booking only, tell me where else is there a book only, not in London not in York, and not in Bodmin moor Jail in Cornwall.. so why here, people journey through Hull and stop off for a few hours and will visit the Museums on spec. Leave it alone and leave it open. Perhaps we could consider closing Guildhall

Another example of local government throwing away our history.

my grandkids love to go round the hands on museum when we are in town and should be saved for future generations to come. you councilors should be ashamed as hull has been nominated winners of the city of culture, not the city of cuts. So get to work and improve hull ready for 2017 festivities and the people to see that were not a backwater dump, and if you had the bottle, take a cut in your wages and put a bit back to help the city not decimate it anymore.
