As a primary school teacher educating the next generation I implore that the hands on history museum be kept open to as an essential opportunity for children and adults to gain knowledge and information they may otherwise been unaware of.

Not only does closing the museum not fit in with the ethos of being a City of Culture, making it bookings only is denying many of the young people of the city a chance to learn for free. If Hull City Council ever truly has aspirations for the city to rise higher in educational terms it needs to stop ridiculous closures such as this and local libraries.

The comitee that awarded Hull City of Culture praised Hull for its museum quarter, how to be quartered by HCC's short sightedness.

It be a travesty to close somewhere enjoyed by so many people. The museums in Hull are one of it best assets and I am appalled that the council are closing it when so much money is wasted on ridiculous projects.
