What will happen in 2017 when everyone comes to see the City of Culture, to find there is none.
History is an amazing aspect of our lives, and should not be pushed aside, and forgotten. History is our heritage, and part of the learning curve we deliver to our schoolchildren, and while they could go on organised outings, some families do enjoy going together.
Hull needs tourism, history with all its facets, is part of culture, they are part of the whole package our city has to offer.

Typical of a Labour council. First the libraries, now the museums. What will tourists come to see in 2017?

Hull has been voted the City of Culture 2017 so you begin by closing a valuable learning tool! What's wrong with you people?

We love the hands on history museum and it is such a valuable public resource in the city centre. It will be a great loss if it is open only to schools.

As a teacher I have used the museum many times. It is an excellent experience for children. Hull needs more of these places for our children instead of getting rid to save money!

give it beetter signage, bigger, brighter and better signposting. get rid of Wilberforce instead, I appreciate he's important but the museum is terribly dull and the staff are dispassionate and not very well informed.
