This just makes a mockery of our intent to show Hull as a cultured city, funding must be found to keep the museum open, its too vital!

I have been to this museum so many times with my 2 children 9 and 7) and we all love it. It's always busy in school holidays so could it at least be opened to the public during the holidays?

There are crowdsourcing campaigns, donor possibilities, endowments, new revenue streams -- all things that could be pursued seriously before closing a community treasure.

As a visitor to Hull I thought this was a lovely museum really enjoyed my visit (August 2012). Was sad to hear it's closing.
