City of culture, needs this venue to be open, if your thinking of money think about the amount of people who visit the city of culture for that-culture a museum is must.

Good luck becoming the City of Culture if this goes through. Tax the rich; don't close museums.

A counter productive measure which proves there is no life after Tory kiss of death when even "opposition" parties have succumbed to the lies that we all have to bear the brunt of a banker led financial crisis. Jobs, culture, education all suffering - and yet we have been fed the lie that things are on the mend. If there is no trust in politicians and we are seeing our amenities destroyed, we can only do one thing - fight back.

Don't let gambling bankers drag the country into an uncultured morass. Fight the cuts.

Hi, My name is Caroline Mortimer, I'm a journalist writing a feature for the Yorkshire Post about the campaign and the closure of the museum. I am trying to find people who have been to the museum with their kids or just as a tourist who would be willing to give me a quote for the article? My email is [email protected]. I've already spoken to Mike Covell who launched the petition but I would like to get your perspectives as well. Thanks!

The location and the nature of the museum does not closing. Nothing much is left in the city as far as preserved history is concerned. Praying for the museum to remain opened to the public My kids love it n am sure other kids love it too

Councils are in a difficult place with the huge Government cuts but some things need to be continued. Our culture is part of our very souls and without it we would be just 'alive'
