Hull the City of Culture in 2017 - aren't museums part of the culture - makes a mockery of the title they've fought so hard to win!! MUSEUMS NEED TO BE KEPT NOT ONLY FOR THE CULTURE BUT TO TEACH FUTURE GENERATIONS ABOUT THE PAST LIFE IN HULL,!

To close any museum is like severing an artery between the past and the future and the young and the old. It denies the children an understanding of their culture - that one thing that makes them who they are.

Closing any Museum is completely Anti-Culture! This would be like Hull shooting itself in the foot prior to becoming the City of Culture! Deplorable!

We agree. The city should be increasing the number of cultural centres and museums on the way to 2017 - and beyond.

Tourism generates wealth. Closing museums means fewer visitors, fewer opportunities to inspire and educate our next generation and creates a general air of despondency. It is hard to undo such damage.

Culture was encouraged in the run up, during and after Derry's year as city of culture. Closing a museum like this in hull is doing the opposite.

Our museums are assets, not a cost. They enrich and inform through the generations. Proud to support this campaign!
So much for "Hull, city of culture"!
