Closing a place that showcases a city's culture? A strange decision.

went to this museum yesterday, really fun hour spent there, like the article says. Hull is the city of culture in 2017, why close this museum? It should be kept open to celebrate Hull in 2017

City of Culture is slightly pointless if you're closing the culture!

As a local person, I was not aware that this place even existed! Now I do, I intend to visit. Whilst I do pay attention to local media and look for days out locally, I have never come across this place. Perhaps it is an issue of promotion and awareness than a lack of interest from potential visitors. I am disappointed in Hull City council on this occasion.

It is not an economy closing Museums. Capital of Culture, if done correctly will bring great benefits, just visit Liverpool.

Don't close it!
Ridiculously short sighted move.
