I know that councils are having to rethink services due to funding cuts, but Heritage is vitally important, not just for people to learn about the past, but it has health and social benefits too.

Penny pinching is not a way to save money. Keep the museum open and more visitors will come - and spend more money. Simple economics! No museum should ever close they should be available for all our futures

Please keep it open

All the way from Canada. Hands-on education is arguably one of the best ways to learn. Sad that children will be unable to learn about their heritage by interacting in the Victorian School room. One of my favourite memories as a child is going to a similar Victorian Schoolhouse in Canada

Keep the museum open.. I am planning a trip to the North of England soon, and would be very disappointed not to see the museum.

Instead of closing they should be encouraging and fostering an keen interest in history. How about opening those storerooms and getting hidden treasures on display!

I have lived in Hull all my life and still today I find out new an existing things I did not know about Hull to take away one of Hull's popular Museum's to save money is outrageous to say the least we are after all City of Culture you advertise tell the world as your slogan then close one of our oldest building's. Lets not lose it's history let's make it's history there's still so much to tell the world cut costs were they need to be cut not were it benefits your own pockets...
