Groveland Stage Update

I've just seen the message that the stage will not be taken down. Thank you to all who brought this to our attention. We have many happy memories of that stage from our son's 6 years at Groveland Elementary School.

We need MORE arts programming and a stage is important!

We used this space for Lego League, one of the few open areas in the school. It would be a huge loss to convert this to closet/custodial space! Please find a different solution.

My son impersonated George Koval on that stage. My daughter "bridged" from Daisy Scout to Brownie. Repurpose some other space for a custodial office.

For so many reasons Please save the stage!

Please, please please don't do this. It's a gathering place for the entire school, used as a community room, poetry recital space, etc. The supplies can go somewhere else.

I'm not sure there's another spot in the building that holds as many memories of friendship, joy, & artful experimentation. There are alternatives. Let's figure out another solution.

Please go back to the drawing board and think of another option.

Some of my kids' best memories of Groveland took place on that stage -- please save it! How sad it would be to demolish it to create a storage closet.

I performed ont he Groveland stage oh so many years ago. What a horrible idea to destroy it. Please reconsider.

My daughter performed on the Groveland stage as a third generation Groveland student. I don't understand how you can strip such a vital school in the community of all of its arts programs and then prioritize closets and waste bins over a stage! Please realize how absurd and horrible this is and reconsider this decision.

Please let me know how we can support you. This is ridiculous. We haven't had a child at Groveland but we strongly support the arts.

From the cub scouts, we really value this stage, it has given us many opportunities for performances and presentations - please save the stage!

This is a wonderful stage for children to be creative and spread their wings. Please find a different solution for storage space!

It is more important to have this stage for the education of the students and use for the community than to make a storage closet. It will cost a whole lot more to try to reclaim the stage later than to find a different storage solution now.
