I do not play in the grapeville league, but I know a lot of people who do. And the amount of work they have put into that field it would be a shame!!

A place for children to play is more important than anything else being there. Think of the future of our kids.

So now that other organizations and churches have out their money and time into fixing it up, you sell it? Unreal.

Its a shame to lose a place for children to be able to go and play outside. Getting away from all the technology crap .

I have grown up playing on these fields as a child FOR Grapeville and watching my father play softball up there! I myself as an adult played softball up there as well! A lot of great memories, would be a-shame to take something away that people cherish and work so hard to keep!

A rent out the Pavilion every year to have a party. Through this many other people have begun running the pavilion over the last 10 years. The Grapeville fire department should take this in consideration that this is for the community.

This field is important to a lot of people for many different reasons. Grapeville is for the families and friends who enjoy getting together for a few months of the year to enjoy some ball, and each other’s presence. There are also not many nice ball fields in the area and to take another one from the youth would be a wrong-doing. Taking away the grapeville ball field takes away many opportunities the kids have to learn valuable lessons through sports. Without being able to participate in sports and without a good area and group of people for the kids to learn from is only setting up the youth if the community for failure.

This is a shame to sale a local community park. I have been made aware that there is currently an adult co-ed softball league currently maintaining the park. Greensburg Alliance Church has also donated time and money completing maintenance to the parks. This park has been used for youth softball practice for many teams as well in recent years. Families from the local area also use the park for their children to play. Please reconsider the sale of the park.

I grew up watching my parents play co-Ed at Grapeville which was over 20 years ago, since my dad has passed away I’ve played in this league.. it’s one of the only places i have to play that keeps all my memories with him Alive. Don’t take that from me. And don’t take it from the people who’ve spent so much time and effort into making this the field and league it is today!

This field has been a family landmark for years! Keep it operating and allow into continue! We need to encourage kids to get involved outside of, and away from, the electronic age. KEEP THIS FIELD!!!
