Save the Graf Spee Eagle

I am no Nazi, but to destroy the Eagle is idiotic and destroying it would be destroying history and a slap in the face to both the British and German sailors of the battle. It should not be destroyed, maybe put on display as a memorial to the sailors.

History is bloody, its full of horrors, atrocities, and even genocide. History isnt just full of valor, honor, peace, and exploration. Dont censor history. Because if you censor history you cant learn from it. This belongs in a museum and the sailors who sailed on the Admiral Graf Spee should be honored as sailors. You are not honoring them if you destroy or censor history because it is uncomfortable.

If we are to shun and destroy history, regardless of which side it was on, we are hardly better than those we beat. As such, the eagle should be saved.

This idea of justifying the destruction of historical artifacts must be abolished. So much has been lost to zealotry, prejudice, and ignorance. How much more must be destroyed to appease such foolishness? How much of our history must be lost and stolen from future generations due to emotional grievances. No more, I say!

This Eagle should be save at all cost history shouldn't be censored. Genghis Khan killed so many people still we have his statue in Mongolia there are many people who committed war crimes still we have their statues. Give that to a museum or it you couldn't just place it back at the bottom of sea floor from where it was picked.

I live in Uruguay. The history of the "Graf Spee" isn't talked a lot in here and the history matter. I like World War 2 and I condem the actions of the Nazi's but the Eagle of the Graf Spee is a fundamental part of history and for Uruguay. It should be in a museum as any other "artefact".

History has to be studied and understood, if not it will be repeated. History cannot be studdied if it is rewriten and sanitised. History cannot be studied if artifacts are destroyed mindlessly.

Choose to preserve history instead of baseless destruction or alteration.

This eagle should be put in a museum. Not only because it's an historical symbol, but also for showing that the war does not have meanings.
