The people are the issue, not the bears. Have police breaking up crowds and issuing fines.

This is terrible. She just wants to protect her family. What human wouldn't do the exact same thing?

please do not chose an animals fate over mans stupidity, they were there first. It isn't right, you have to give it more time for a possible spot in a sanctuary. Please.

This beautiful family of bears should absolutely NOT be killed because of the bad behavior of humans. Garbage laws need to implemented. Surely these gorgeous creatures can be relocated to an area far away from this town. Murder is NEVER a solution and essentially that is what this is.

Why are the residents waiting for"THEM" to provide bear proof trash cans? Can they (the residents) not take responsibility for their own actions? Including how they process their own rubbish? If we weren't all such wasteful people , and Americans are the worst in the world, then there wouldn't be so much food in the bins in the first place. You can be damn sure that 3 or 4 generations ago these incidents were far more infrequent, because there was no food thrown away!

Why is it acceptable to kill the bears to protect the humans but not for the mother bear to do the same to us to protect her babies? We are not automatically more important than a bear just because we are human. She probably won't hurt anyone anyway, educate the humans don't punish the bears
