There is no reason why these innocent animals should be paying the ultimate price for humand stupidity. For God's sake, do something about the HUMANS.

Spare this family. They are just hungry bears and were scared with so many people.

Educate the people that these are wild animals and need to be respected and left in the wild as nature demands.

Pass an ordinance that we may be fined or jailed if you mess with any bears. Enforce it. Problem solved.

the bear didn't seal its fate it was just rightfully protecting her cubs. Humans are curious and sadly wreck less that shouldn't constitute a death sentence to this family. Alaska is so quick as is FWS to kill without utilizing other means. I oppose this and think its inhumane and wreck less on Alaska's part.

This is not the first time the great state of Alaska has done this. Just last year a young mother of two cubs was killed. http://www.adn.com/slideshow/photos-black-bear-familys-last-afternoon

arrest the trespassors not euthenize the victims! Bears were looking for food, that is all! the people & news crews were trespassing.

Please don't do this, fine the heck out of the people who caused this, then use the money to send these bears anywhere that will accept them.

In a state the size of Alaska, there is no Good reason these bears can't be relocated...to their natural habitat if not a zoo.
