This is absolutely ridiculous. NO lives should just be taken for something like this. RELOCATE them away from people if people can't deal with it. It is an absolute shame to think that someone's idea of a solution to this problem is to kill 5 absolutely amazing and beautiful creatures - 4 of which have yet to experience life at just 1 year old. I'm not familiar with the Government Hill neighborhood, but I can guarantee you that bears were making it there home LONG before humans were! Let's get our act together on this and come up with a more educated solution than simply killing these bears!

DO NOT kill these bears! What next, you will empty lakes because stupid people might drown? Peoples stupidity should not be a death warrant for other species. This is just as bad as poaching. I am shocked a wild life agency would do this.

She successfully raised her FOUR CUBS for a year. Please don't make our stupidity seal their fate. Surely there is another option.

I think this is the most appalling decision. How abhorrent to kill a family of bears just because humans are stupid. To think what that mother has gone through to raise four cubs and manage to keep them all alive, then we, the "superior" species decide "better kill 'em just in case". I'm so ashamed to be human right now.

why not relocate the bears or any other possibility.. Killing them because of people's ignorance is cruel.. People in this area apparently need to be educated and threatened with fines to protect these animals..
