let's help these creatures whose land we have stolen, instead of being pissy and lazy about managing our own trash.

Before you condone the killing of these bears should you not first meet w/ the affected neighborhood and talk about what brought and kept the bears here. Then discuss a solution which doesn't involve killing them. Humans are so self centered. I make the mistake so nature has to pay. Simpleminded people.

we have tried to be good neighbors to these bears . we have secured our trash and kept our distance the Cubs did not eat trash last season and they continue to keep their distance from humans. they deserve to be given a chance to live in an unpopulated area.

There are other ways to handle this situation Other than killing these bears! They haven't hurt anyone and would be nice if the agencies showed a little respect for Mother Nature!

Don't take the "easy" way out Fish and Game. It will not be that difficult to relocate these bears. They won't be garbage bears if you relocate them to the wilderness where there is no garbage. And then, Government Hill, get bear proof containers for next time.

I called Solid Waste Services today, which is run by the Anchorage Municipality and services the Government Hill area, and they don't even offer bear resistant trash cans to their customers. Even if people tried to prevent the bears eating garbage they can't because it's not even an option.
this is not right and needs to be stopped!!!!
