This building is so important for the town , both historically and as simply our majestic town hall ..it's a listed building it needs to be looked after ..those steps are a necessary part of it's architectural unity

What a disgraceful thing to do, and there you are bemoaning the fact that money is tight and so cuts are having to be made to the most vital services and yet the money can be found to completely change the face of and ruin a fine heritage building. Shame on you.put it back to its original facade.

St Johns hall is an impressive building and I wouldn't be happy if the facade of the building was going to be altered. I remember being interviewed for a job in Penlee Park in 1998 and I was so impressed with the St Johns Hall inside and out. I would urge the Council to obtain some sort of consensus of local public opinion before making dramatic changes like this.
