Friends of the Library is THE BEST bookstore in the city. They do such good work and are a vital resource to many different communities. Fort Mason needs this place!

The bookstore is an invaluable resource for those of us who find ourselves at Ft. Mason or elsewhere in the marina far more often than we find ourselves in the Civic Center area.

This store is a TREASURE. Please do not close it. My children's large book collection is due almost entirely to the Reader's children's book section. My young kids are both (5 and 1.5 years old) great book lovers because of this. It gives me such pride to support the Library and purchase used books. I'd so much rather support the library than line Jeff Bezos pockets. Please save Readers at Fort Mason.

The friends of the library bookstore at Fort Mason is indispensable. It only does good in the world, and few entities can claim that. Run on donations, it recycles books, keeps money in the local community, helps the public library, and allows the public to be able to afford books, which can be quite pricy. Teachers can buy a whole stack of kids books here to stock their classrooms and not break the bank. This bookstore is a large part of what makes Fort Mason Center a destination. Without it, fewer people will bother going to Fort Mason.

Oh My God. This is THE STORE, a critical destination in the Bay Area and California wide for great books and historical items. I can not IMAGINE that there is a move to shutter this store permanently. It is unique... No other Public Library system has such a vibrant book store filled with fantastic donated books. THERE MUST BE A WAY to keep Fort Mason Bookstore open.
