Save the Friends’ Readers Bookstore at Fort Mason

I hope the bookstore can be saved. There are very few used bookstores left in San Francisco. Readers Bookstore is also an important part of the Fort Mason experience. Let's save it!

As a wonderful writer I'm sure you've been inspired by and valued the kaleidoscopic range of works biding their time on those shelves, waiting for one to rescue them. I must confess that I bought your Deadlines from the Book Bay.... a lovely exploration of our final curtain calls....

An oasis for the mind and the imagination. I’ve donated and bought so many books here. It would take away one of the reasons to go to Fort Mason!

This is my favorite bookstore in San Francisco, and I simply can’t understand why it has to go. It’s a big mistake, and we must do everything we can to make whoever decided this to see reason.

Please don't close this bookstore! The staff, Goodies Cafe and the books, cds and dvds were something we looked forward to seeing almost every weekend!

Please keep this bookstore open. We need it for the community and to help raise funds for SFPL.

We have to keep our libraries and bookstores for the sake of our souls.
