Covered bridges are a huge part of New Brunswick history and heritage.... New Brunswick covered bridges should be designated as protected under Heritage Canada and applicable funding be given for repairs... These bridges are a huge tourist attraction and must be protected.

Don't take away something that means so much to so many! These structures are a rareity and part of what draws tourist to the area, no concrete/steel bridge can replace this beauty.

I love this bridge and have grown up swimming at the Deep Hole. We are lucky to have so many covered bridges in our area and this one should be saved!

It is part of our Heritage. At one time there was almost 500 covered bridges in this province. We cannot lose another. I am sure if this happened in Hartland there would be an uproar because it is the longest covered bridge in the world.

I am a retired bridge worker supervisor, the reason that this bridge is set for destruction is, the people who were supposed to train to work on these structures didn't pay attention, and now cannot do the work. There are a few retired old school people who might be willing to train people who are interested in the future of these structures. Mr Higgs has the info for the contact of these people. No need of this, DOT personnel can do this work cheaper than outside hire, they just need to be trained.
