Covered Bridges are part of who we are as NBers they are part of our history and heritage we even feature the longest covered bridge in the world

It would cost less to restore it than to rebuild it. These are some of the reasons NB is beautiful !

I believe cultural icons in every area of Canada such as covered bridges in New Brunswick need to be saved. Having lived in Saskatchewan while all the grain elevators in each town were slowly disappearing I would hate to see such important landmarks disappear in NB. They cannot be replaced by a metal bridge without losing such important history and charm.

These bridges are part of New Brunswick history. Not only should this bridge be saved, but, all covered bridges in New Brunswick should be forever classed as Historical sites through the Heritage Conservation Act. Under the Heritage Conservation Act, the Government of New Brunswick, through the Minister of the Department of
Wellness, Culture and Sport, may designate places in New Brunswick as Provincial Heritage Places if the place: (c) exhibits excellence in architecture, engineering, functional design, construction or craftsmanship for a particular
period;
(d) exhibits or represents rare, unique, representative or early examples of style, type, expression, material or
construction method;

Hopefully we could at least take a look at this alternative idea to fix this bridge . These bridges and ferrys are part of who we are and what brings people to New Brunswick not to mention if our tax payers are asking for it then why not at least take a look at this idea
