The covered bridges makes New Brunswick unique. I don't understand why the government wants to destroy the charm and character of this beautiful province.

Very short sited, especially when a wood bridge expert has offered to repair at a fraction of cost and time!

Please preserve our covered bridges and let people enjoy them as I did when I lived in Stickney NB and travelled New Brunswick to photograph them. I now live in BC and they are a memory for me. Although I wish to bring my grandsons back to see them in the future.

Initial costs may be high but the long term costs of a Steel & Concrete bridge will exceed the renovation costs. No high speed access is needed nor semi trucks over this road. Go with the historical option.

I think the covered bridge should be repaired not torn down.I know progress is necessary but so is our heritage. We have lost too many covered bridges as it is.I am sure it would cost less to repair this than to build a new unattractive steel bridge...
