Growing up in the area as a kid I spent many hot summers below the bridge swimming fishing. This bridge is a part of history and deseves a second look and opinion. Please dont destroy another covered bridge.

It's part of our heritage and should be fixed without any resistance and the company that owned excavator and hired the operater should not only be leading the fight but should be paying for the repairs as well if that bridge was in the city they would be fighting like he'll to have it rebuilt. So they should just do the right thing and get it fixed

Our covered bridges have been neglected for far too long, it's time we get serious about saving them before they're gone forever. Let's send the message starting with the Hammond #2. From there, let's get the rest of them designated heritage sites.

There was a company that said they could refurbish tje bridge for less than twaring down and Building a new one.

I grew up born and raised in New Brunswick, please keep my history living for the next generation. It is always a pleasure and rare these days to drive on a covered bridge it's so exciting the moment your in it. Leave the bridge for others to experience that same exciting feeling!

We need to start saving these covered bridges as we have lost so many already and these are our heritage. With the technology we have today, there is no reason why we can't restore this bridge to last another 100 or so years.
