I went to this school from 81 -84. And we have enough dodgy houses and conversions. Give it back to the public. Think about the people instead of your pockets.

Why not set it up as a community cafe playgroup and youth club in the eve films night etc teaching cooking life skill give the young people of st austell something to do bingo night bringing people together

As an ex volunteer adult instructor with St Austell Sea Cadets this building would make a great HQ for the Sea Cadets.
This organisation with the aid of Naval training shapes our youth to make them responsible citizens and an asset to their local community.

My son attends sea cadets with a view to join the Navy. The cadets building they use is going to a close and they need new premises. Please save Carclaze old school building so the cadets can use it.

My grandmother Mary Maria Vivian went to this school in the 1880's and I started school here in the 1940's. Too many of St Austell's historic buildings are being destroyed..Carclaze School must not be allowed to join them.

This is a lovely old building and could be used to help the community,somewhere for the young people to meet instead of the streets, or for the use of a nursery or community centre. If someone had the ability it would make a fabulous venue for meetings / art displays etc The last thing that should happen is for it to be demolished . We need to protect our heritage.

No more wain homes! Keep this lovely building and use for something better. Youth clubs, scouts, brownies, drop in club/centre for kids of surrounding area. Get them off the streets playing and walking.

Beautiful old building, many memories. Surely it can be put to good use, convert to flats, a play school, youth centre etc.

A teacher-focused adult education centre would put Cornwall on the map for teaching excellence, close to schools, forests, beaches, Eden and Heligan, St Austell could have the best teachers on its doorstep educating it's children.

Well CC no such thing as affordable housing unless you can tell me differently.Save the building and convert but the shell must be kept.You have destroyed nearly all of the historic buildings in St Austell and should be ashamed of your decisions.

Yet another beautiful building looks destined for demise, how does every other developer manage or is forced to preserve beautiful buildings and still manage to convert them at a profit.... Stenalees institue,Roche chapel,soon Charlestown chapel etc etc

the non stop spread of housing in the St Austell area is a blot on the landscape, lets just try to keep a small bit of our architectural heritage. i'm sure this building could be converted to flats just like the old clay dry further up the road.
