It would be a complete travesty if this building were demolished and cheap 'rabbit hutch' housing or concrete car park left in its place. This is a beautiful, historic and iconic building. If anything it should be listed and preserved.

To knock down a building built of this quality original workmanship and fill the gap with cheap wooden framed houses seems ludicrous, surely this could be repaired and restored with funding or local workers help and get this building back into use by people in the community, either as an extension to the adjacent nursery or as a meeting ground for mature people with a cafe and outdoor seating area. My Mum and my grandparents went to this school and so many other people in the area have fond memories of growing up with this building it must live on in for future generations to see.

We need to keep these iconic buildings you can't reverse the damage when you knock them down for affordable housing for everyone outside the county to afford!!!!

It is a great building that should be redesign and used rather than just demolished!

This building is beautiful and part of my childhood. Here I was inspired to become a teacher. Could it not continue to inspire young children in a local scout/guide/youth group?

I tell you what. If I could I'd turn that building into a library at least! Cornwall council need to understand that a few houses and a pathetic car park isn't going to do any good! I miss that school a lot and I work for a building restoration. Would love to repoint the whole building! That'd be me contribution -Tom Harding

With the shortage of school places now why would you not use it?

Why would you get rid of such a great building? Great memories here that would be slashed if it wasn't there. Use this building for something worth while, or return it to its former glory and use it for education, soft play, sport!
