Save the former Carclaze Infant School building from demolition!

This would make a great conversion into apartments and is a part of St Austells history, would be a massive loss to the town

I was the 4th generation of my family to attend this school (I even planted a tree). It's sad seeing it in its current state, but as long as it's still standing there's hope that it can be used for something good and for the community. To see it bulldozed and gone forever would be a travesty.

This is a beautiful building which will stand for many years to come unlike affordable new housing which has a short life. Let's preserve these beautiful buildings for future generations.

This building must remain! I went to school here, my brother and my dad back in the 70s!!! The outside toilets on the bottom playground, the chestnut trees on the top playground, the shiny hall floor...so many happy memories of this building. Every time I drive passed it, I feel a little down, as it should be restored to it's former glory, not abandoned. We must save it!!! :-(

Currently on holiday in Gloucestershire and staying in a beautifully renovated school building. Why on earth would you choose to destroy something beautiful and replace with something ugly?

Let people in the community have a say. A community facility shared with a car park is not a bad idea. If the Council could do the car park that would be a start and the money they had to demolish it could go towards the buildings renovation.

Former student who was there at the reopening of the old school house section next to the year 2 classes, so only 20 years after a significant council and public fund raising movement allowed that to happen.

I tried to take this building on a few years back and they wouldn't let me. I wanted to create a community centre!

Can't demolish it it belongs there it should be reopened it was a great school x

I attended art classes in this iconic building as a grammar school pupil in the 60s.
Please retain it. Do not replace with bland modern boxes. When it's gone it's gone.

Beautiful old building with many memories. We don't want more bland looking properties around Carclaze. Go and look at other areas such as Dorset - they 'embrace' their old buildings not destroy them.
