It would be a great loss for this lovely corner of Herne Hill if Network Rail replace this lovely, healthy business with an unsightly, dull electric substation. Not at all the place for it!

This would completely fly in the face of ensuring that the square meets demands of residents and supports local businesses.

Sacrilege to spoil this asset and replace it with a sub-station, particularly since this square has only recently been enhanced and pedestrianised

I'm truly sickened by the way big business rolls over the little guy.
For once, just once, do the right thing!

Network Rail must think again. It’s difficult to imagine a worse site for their substation.

This is outrageous. This is the HH florist and we shall not be seeing her forced out of her shop.

Elaine is a true part of our community and brings happiness to all who buy or are given her flowers. Think again Network Rail!

Itis very important that Thew Flower Lady is not forced out of her shop next to Herne Hill Station - she is essential to our well being. And there are alternatives for the substation.

Why destroy such a lively building and what has been part of the high street since as long as I can remember having been a local resident for 30 years.

As a fellow local trader I feel we all need to show our love and support to a Herne Hill institution run by a lovely woman. It would truly be a shame to lose Elaine as part of our local community, especially given the lack of foresight with how the new shops have been planned and built.

I’d be lost without this florist by the station

Another abuse of small local businesses by Network Rail. Small local businesses and their importance to community should neither be ignored nor undermined like this.

To lose this shop for an electrical substation would be an enormous shame - it adds a lovely touch to the area. I think we should look to explore an alternative if possible to ensure Herne Hill retains its identity and character!
