There are many brown field sites around Edinburgh, there would be too much pressure on all local services , schools, doctors etc if this development is approved. Green belt needs to be protected.

This field floods all the time and frogston road west cannot take any more traffic, any problems on the bypass and tailback occurs on the full length of the road.

This site should remain as greenbelt. So many new houses have already been built in the immediate area in the past few years and the infrastructure cannot cope with any more.

I am appalled at the housing proposals on this land. I moved to Mortonhall over 13 years ago as the area had so many green spaces to enjoy. Over the years those green spaces have rapidly decreased as developers take over. This area of land should remain part wild with space for community gardens, allotments, outdoor exercise/play areas for all the neighbouring communities to enjoy.

The green belt should be protected. There is already too much loss of biodiversity in south Edinburgh. There is insufficient infrastructure to deal with any further increase in housing. There will be inadequate medical provision in the area - doctors dentists etc and schooling will also be yet further stretched at secondary level. The road network is already at capacity. The area is prone to flooding. There are electric pylons close to the site. The city of Edinburgh boundaries should not be further extended to include any green belt land. Brownfield sites should be redeveloped instead.

I object. The plan suggests up to 4 storeys along frontage of Frogston Road, which will devalue the semi rural aspect of the area, thus potentially devaluing our homes and increasing pollution, congestion and adding more stress to under resourced infrastructure.

Totally against this. The infrastructure can’t support it. The green spaces are being destroyed. It doesn’t help the housing crisis at all! People in the housing crisis can’t afford these homes so how exactly does it help? Less destruction and more thought. The city is at breaking point.

I am totally against this development because of the problems of traffic, lack of public transport, loss of good agricultural land, and destruction of wildlife and habitats. This is almost the last green lung extending out to Midlothian.

Traffic congestion in an already strained road network, Poorer air quality, increased flooding due to the disruption of natural drainage systems and increase in impermeable surfaces, detrimental impact on local conservation and wildlife and natural beauty of the area

As a child this field means a lot to me as I live in this area next to the field. Replacing it for houses would make it look unattractive and decrease the amount of wildlife and green space in this area, it could really effect peoples physically health by not being able to do their daily walks and peoples mental by not being able to have a place to clear their heads.
