The Essex Youth Center has been an enjoyable safe environment for youth to hang out, and I had greatly looked forward to returning again and again every lunch and almost every day after school, if the mayor thinks the youth are so unimportant I'm really hoping this petiton will change his mind, because the youth are the future, believe it or not

The EYC has a long tradition in the community and provides a safe place enjoyed by the young people of Essex. To say that it is unimportant and not a priority represents a shortsighted view. Would the Mayor rather people just hang out on street corners?

I love EYC (Essex Youth Center) the people there are amazing. If I am having a bad day they make my day so much better. I have met so many amazing people there, and have made so many memories. I want to keep making memories and keep hanging out with amazing people.
