I used to take my children to that park when they were younger, and it is now time for the next generation of children and new families to the area, to enjoy this parkland of rides.

This place is my childhood, and I know there are plenty of people who feel the same. From having the best thrills of my life to the warmest memories, this place has been a constant. There's also the financial struggle the community could face from losing such an iconic location; The waterfront is packed year-long, even more so during school holidays, and businesses (like Ken's Humble Pies, Lollies n' Sweets, Burger World, Cold Rock, etc.) thrive there.

My partner and I have been going to the carnival since we were little kids and would love for our grandkids to be able to ride too. Everyone I know that doesn't live here, remembers the carnival and comes here to ride them. There always in use and kids are always having so much fun on them when we walk past. It was bad enough when they took away the water slides that everyone still talks about and wishes were still here. That property has been empty ever since. Let's leave what every kid loves here. Also it's a tourist attraction. The Entrance will change way too much if it leaves here.

This is an icon. I enjoy seeing it everytime I go there. Was recently there for Chromefest. It's not in the way. Council should be doing something about that abandoned caravan park instead.

My parents, my sisters and I, my children and all my 6 grandchildren have all loved coming up and enjoying all the rides . This is where we had our holidays every year before I moved up 22years ago.I want the 5th generation to enjoy this wonderful experience of the childhood too. Tourists come from all over because of these amusements. They are destroying The Entrance with empty shops and overpriced accommodation and it needs preservation and restoration for residents and tourists to make it great again.

The Ferris’s wheel & fun park is an icon of the entrance ( & a historic reminder of the carnivals & circuses that used to frequent the entrance. This must stay to keep the entrance on the tourist map .

The Entrance Merry Go Round is an institutional landmark and has served generations of local and visitor families. We have kilometres of under utilised waterfront reserves that can be activated., without the loss of this iconic attraction. Petition signed.
