We love this park and always take our out-of-town guests there. Plus we use the hiking trails all the time. It is definitely a valuable asset to the Grass Valley/Nevada City communities.

You need to keep this park alive for all the people to enjoy. If we don't take action to protect some of our history... what in the world are the future children going to learn about our past from. This is an important park.

Empire Mine State Park is a vital park Nevada County and Grass Valley community. It's historic importance is undeniable. Of all the parks that represent the essence of California, surely Empire Mine SHP runs with the giants of Yosemite, Muir Woods and others. The thought of it being sold, is so unfathomable to me. Please save our beloved park!!!

I have been through this house and mine site. The house should stay in as a park for others who come after us so that they can view what life used to be like, both for the rich and those who worked in the mine.
