The Empire Mine is the biggesttourist attraction and piece of histry we have in the area. Selling it away from the county would lose us so much money and out of town visitors

n almost 50 year resident of this community, I was thrilled when the Empire Mine became a state park. We cannot loose it.

Don't get rid of this historical monument. We all love this place, and it's a part of our town. People should rise up. I want to still be able to visit this place when I'm crippled and old. I'm sure the Empire Mine means a lot to almost every single person that lives here. It would be a shame to get a rid of such a historically beautiful place. Whoever would want to hasn't been around long enough to grow to love it. Or in my opinion shouldn't be able to take away this place from us. Tell the Senate subcommittee of Legislature to find a place elsewhere.

For the sake of our children and our children's children, do not sale it! We need this historical park to remind us of our past and what we have done and to keep what's left that is beautiful in our world. Face it, earth is only becoming more and more ugly. We need to restore all that is beauty before we have nothing.

When my son gets older I would love to bring him to this park and share with him the beauty that is held here, but if it is sold I won't be able to give him that opportunity. For the children of the future, for what we need to hold on to from our past, we as humans need this park as a reminder how people used to live a long time ago.

Closing this truly important park or turning the premises over to private concerns would be tantamount to our historical gold rush state turning its backnot only on its heritage, but people who come here from all over the world to visitld
