I was a tenant for several years, and have never been disrespected and treated more poorly than I was during my tenure there. The Emerson has so much potential and it's time for a change in leadership. I reached out to the ED and/or Board more than once for help to no avail. The 4-person board needs to go as well; they do not represent the community and only answer to the ED. The tenants deserve better, as does the community.
I support this effort 100% but am not signing my name for fear of retribution. I experienced and witnessed the vindictive nature of Emerson leadership many times.

Under the current leadership, there is a pattern of talented staff leaving the Emerson distressed and demoralized. The board doesn’t seem to care. The ED and the board actively avoid input from the tenants and the community. There is no transparency in how the institution is run. The Emerson has been great, and can be again. We need a change in leadership.

For many years I have witnessed the intimidation and abuse of the staff by the Executive director. These actions led to health issues both mental and physical. Many people have left and feel alienated so it is no longer comfortable to visit. I miss the Emerson but no longer feel welcome!

We used to love the Emerson, and it's a place I would love to share with my children. Unfortunately under the current regime, it is not an inviting space for my family.

There are so many great artists and events held at the Emerson that are overshadowed by the negativity and oppressive nature of the current ED. Changing this could lead to a whole new world for the Emerson, the people who have historically supported it, and the future of the arts community in Bozeman.

I believe in this cause wholeheartedly. The Emerson and the good folks who believe in it's true purpose have been neglected. . And in my opinion, abused. . By it's leadership. A change is needed to revive the spirit of the Emerson and the beautiful life of creativity and collaboration that yearns to thrive within it's walls.
I will stand by you in support of this meaningful cause.
