My good friend had things all set up for her wedding and this “lady” changed things and refused to honor the contract that they signed. Cost them a lot of extra money for no good reason.

Not only was she incredibly degrading to us but she was downright rude. We love the Emerson and want to save it from her.

The Emerson has swayed for from the inviting, nice community oriented org that it was in the 90’s

The ED tried her best to ruin my wedding at the Emerson by informing us mere days before our wedding that she would no longer honor parts of the contract we had signed for over a year despite the conflicting policy changes happening only a few months prior. She then refused to negotiate with us and caused us hundreds of dollars in last minute costs knowing our only option was to pay her or change our venue last minute. Would not recommend renting there until she is gone!

I’ve had an interaction exactly as described in this overview. It was horrible and very unprofessional.

This behavior should not be tolerated. The fact that this petition had to be created is at all is crazy. Please set a better example for our community by holding up a higher standard and removing this individual from this position.

She was vile to deal with while setting up for a wedding!

Sadly, I have not stepped foot in the Emerson since 2013 because of her. I would love to support the businesses in the Emerson, but I don't want to risk running into her. I don't understand the board's loyalty. I was warned about her by numerous people when I accepted a position there. I should have heeded their warnings.

The director is known to be vindictive and threatens legal action any chance she gets. So, I’ll remain anonymous.

This woman has not been right from her beginning tenure.

Had a really unpleasant interaction with the ED a few years ago related to a concert on the lawn (most events have been great, this one was out of control). We live close by and I’d love to be more involved, but promised myself I wouldn’t donate or volunteer until after she moved on.
