Wish I could be optimistic about the chances of retaining the market as is. As much as I like the product, at a cursory glance it looks as if Teeling's opened the eyes of these developers and with an organic character to the area already in place, it's ripe for corporate appropriation, I beg yr pardon, regeneration.

Dublin is lacking in community services, the people organise a successful space and number of events and you think the best option is to bulldoze it and build a sterilised version? NO

The Dublin Flea Market hes been a hub for the creative community in Dublin for years. It provides entrepreneurial opportunity for creatives and other makers and do-ers around the city. Its an inclusive, open and friendly place for people of all ages & backgrounds.

As an Aussie spending their first time in Dublin my hubby and I thought this flea market was amazing. We were notified via a fb ad as soon as we arrived in Dublin airport about this unique place to visit. Took up the opportunity and found it via public transport and google maps. Loved it. Knights armour (which we'd love to have taken home with us but couldn't) plus beautiful pop up cards which we purchased plenty of. Pls don't let this atmosphere disappear!!!

I lived for a year in Dublin and The Dublin Flea Market was one of my favourite places to spend my days off.

I would hate to see this go, it's a livelihood for a lot of traders and it would be a shame if they lost that. New developments are happening all over the country, but there is no need to wipe out others in the process. Let's all work together for a better future.

It's an important local amenity, so tired of characterless glass workhouses. Stop ripping Dublins personality apart!

A great amenity for the people of Dublin and beyond. Hours of pleasure guaranteed and a livelihood for traders. Best Market in Southern Ireland. It should stay.

The loss of the food co-op and flea market would be a blow to the local community, and would remove a large part of what makes the area so vibrant in the first place.

Markets are the heart of communities. Strip places where people can join together and mix and you strip the heat from our communities; all for the sake of more over priced apartments.
A gem of Dublin - please save it!
